Tuesday 05-19-2020

It is the last Tuesday of the school year! Normally we would be wrapping up the year with a field trip, a day at the park, filed day and some awards this week. However, nothing about the last couple of months has been normal!

One thing I would like everyone to do this morning is to sign on to Power School and check your 4th quarter assignments. If something is marked with an "I" that means it is incomplete and I did not give you a grade for that assignment. You can go back and complete anything marked incomplete by Wednesday and I will change the grade. Currently I have everything graded except Anchor Activities. That means your current grades for Math and ELA will be your final grade unless you submit some missing work today or tomorrow. I will work on grading Anchor Activities today so that your Science grades should be finished by Wednesday morning.

If you have any questions, please email me or we can set up a time to talk on Google Meet. Let's finish up the school year strong!

Welcome to the last week of 6th grade! Normally we would be wrapping up the year with a field trip, a day at the park, filed day and some awards this week. However, nothing about the last couple of months has been normal!

For remote learning this week, you are being given a chance to get any work turned in that is marked as incomplete for the 4th quarter. If you have been keeping up with everything we have been doing (and some of you have!), go outside and enjoy some free time after checking your assignments.

One thing I would like everyone to do this morning is to sign on to Power School and check your 4th quarter assignments. If something is marked with an "I" that means it is incomplete and I did not give you a grade for that assignment. You can go back and complete anything marked incomplete by Wednesday and I will change the grade. Currently I have everything graded except last week's ELA (writing, vocab, Study Sync, iReady), Math iReady, and Science Anchor Activities. I will try to have all grades updated by this afternoon and will give you an update tomorrow on this page.

Study Sync- First Read for "True Story of Japanese Internment" and complete Think questions. Silent read for 20 minutes and log summary.

Math 3rd and 4th hour: 

Fluency packet pages 359 and 362. Review packet pages 50-51.

Science 6th/7th hour: 

Read pages 385-389 and complete page 10 of worksheet packet.

Science: Keep up to date with a science topic by reading a news story and typing a summary each day.

Cincinnati Zoo will have a live stream each day at 2:00 to show and teach about an animal at the zoo (Monday was about a 2 year old hippo!)
