FREE Planet Fitness Summer Pass for HS students! Illinois High School Association (IHSA) partner, Planet Fitness, has announced that it will provide free access to its fitness clubs in Illinois to high school students throughout the summer of 2024. The Planet Fitness Summer Pass ’24 provides free access to high school students ages 14 to 19 from June 1 to August 31, 2024. “We appreciate Planet Fitness providing this wonderful opportunity to allow high school students in Illinois to maintain their health and well-being throughout the summer free of charge,” said IHSA Executive Director Craig Anderson. “We recognize that for some students, especially in the summer, Planet Fitness may be a more viable option than training at a high school or other venue. The Summer Pass ’24 epitomizes Planet Fitness’ mission to promote physical and emotional health for young people in our state.” Registration for the Planet Fitness Summer Pass ’24 program is available at any Planet Fitness club or online at planetfitness.com/summerpass . Individuals under 18 years of age will need a parent or guardian to register.

The first Certificate can be completed in 1 semester this Fall! All levels of HVAC start with the same two classes this Fall, so students don’t yet need to decide on their end goal (aka, which Certificate/AAS to choose). View the HVAC AAS and all 9 HVAC Certificates here www.mchenry.edu/path or here www.mchenry.edu/programs. MCC NEWS: At Admitted Student Days: Next Steps for Incoming Students, attendees learn about - and start - their next steps at McHenry County College: prepare for an upcoming New Student Orientation, review outstanding course placement, check student emails and student accounts, access financial aid, explore campus, and more. Students who haven’t yet completed their online orientation will be encouraged to complete it at this event and sign up for the in-person orientation, where they will later register for fall courses. These dates were chosen to align with in-person orientations; we will make sure attendees are registered for an upcoming in-person orientation. The information in the Admitted Student Days events will include topics covered during the Fall Enrollment sessions presented at the high schools. However, we continually receive new applicants through the spring and summer, and we want to capture as many future students as possible. Plus, not everyone was able to attend the sessions at the high schools. (It’s also a good review.) This is an optional event. The Admissions and Recruitment office welcomes students and their families to connect with New Student Enrollment Coaches any time through appointments, drop-ins, phone, or email. We are happy to review the topics above. A QR code to our booking system is included.
