AH Seniors/Parents & Guardians: District 19 will be hosting its annual FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Completion Workshop at Alden-Hebron High School- Room 102, Oct. 18th, from 6:30-8 PM. ---Families are asked to create their Federal Student Aid identification numbers prior to the workshop and to begin the FAFSA. A representative from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will be at AHHS that night to answer questions and help families complete the process. ---A separate FSA ID is required for a parent and for the student. *** Congratulations to our 7th Grade Volleyball Team on their second place finish in the Lakes Region Conference Tournament. Great job Coaches and Girls!! The High School Volleyball Team travels to Christian Life (Rockford) tonight to start play in the NAC Tournament. The girls play #3 Christian Life at 7:00 p.m. If they win they will play at 12:00 on Saturday, if they lose it is 9:00 a.m. High School Football travels to West Prairie HS for a 1:00 kickoff, 18575 E. 800th St. Sciota, IL. 61475. The Giants look to keep their playoff hopes alive with another big win. ***

Don't Forget: MCHS is hosting its annual Manufacturing, Trades and Industry event with at least 40 businesses and organizations TONIGHT (Wednesday) at 6 p.m. Students and families can meet with local reps to learn more about careers in manufacturing, trades and industry.

Reminder: Job and Internship Fair: October 13, 2022 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Free for students, alumni, and community members. Connect with local employers seeking interns, temporary workers, and part- and full-time employees.

College and Career Fairs are terrific opportunities for high school students to collect information and make connections with potential schools/careers and help narrow down options for their post-secondary search! NEXT EVENTS: 1. NACAC Virtual College Fair this Sunday, October 9, from 1-6 p.m. (ET)! 2. MTI Career Expo, 10/12/22, 6PM-8PM . They will have over 50 career exhibitors on display that evening in the new Center for Science, Technology, and Industry. Go & learn about the great careers available in McHenry county!
