2022-2023 School Year UPDATE Dear Parents & Guardians, The federal program that has allowed school districts across the country to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students regardless of income expired on June 30, 2022. Since 2020, this program has eliminated the need to collect payments for school meals for any student. At this time, the federal government has not extended the waivers for the 2022-2023 school year to allow free meals for all students. As a result, schools across the nation will revert back to free and reduced-price meals based on income eligibility guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. During the 2022-23 school year, families who do not qualify for free or reduced lunch will have to pay for school meals. The cashless purchase program allows a student/parent to add money to EZ PAY which is found under the "Parents" tab. Since this adjustment may create a financial burden on some of our families, we want to provide you advance notice of this change. Students whose families are eligible for free or reduced price breakfast or lunch will be able to access meals next school year at no cost or a discounted rate. As we have done in the past, we will collect documentation to determine who qualifies for free or reduced meals. The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) application is available to download on the school website under the"Food & Nutrition" tab. 2022-2023 Breakfast & Lunch Pricing: Breakfast is $1.50 Lunch is $3.15 Reduced Breakfast is $0.30 Reduced Lunch is $0.40 Website: https://www.alden-hebron.org/

*** Middle School Tackle Football : We will be holding a meeting on Tuesday June 7th @ 6:30 in the HS gym to see if there is enough interest and commitment to bring back Middle School Tackle Football for the 2022 season and beyond. I would like to invite all interested parents & potential players that will be entering 4th - 8th grade next year to attend this meeting. In order to make this commitment we would have to have at least 16 players 6th-8th grade for next year and enough 5th-4th graders to sustain the program for the next few years. Please join me on Tuesday night June 7th @ 6:30 to go over all the information and to see if we can get this program started again for our school and community. If you have any questions or are interested in helping coach please feel free to give me a call at 815-909-3705 cell or the office at 815-648-1662 Thanks, Coach Lalor
